    Candle Care Guide

To ensure your intention candles burn cleanly, safely, and beautifully every time, follow these simple care instructions and rituals.

    The First Burn

Candles have a memory. The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge of the glass. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle. This usually takes 2-3 hours.

    Trim Your Wick

Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before every lighting. A trimmed wick prevents the flame from getting too large, minimizes soot, and extends the life of your candle. You can use a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or gently snap off the burnt wood/cotton with your fingers once cool.

    Safe Extinguishing

Avoid blowing out your candle, which can cause smoke and push the wick off-center. Instead, use a candle snuffer to gently extinguish the flame, or use a wick dipper to push the wick into the wax pool and pull it back up.

    Setting Intentions

Before lighting, hold the candle and take three deep breaths. State your intention clearly—whether it's for peace, abundance, or protection. The act of lighting the flame activates your intention and releases the botanical properties into your space.
